The Southeastern Quilt and Textile Museum is proud to announce that it will host the Sacred Threads Exhibition of Quilts Expressing Life’s Journey: Joy, Inspiration, Healing, Grief, and Peace. In 1999, Sacred Threads Founder, Vikki Pignatelli, gathered a small group of women who felt that their quilts had been misrepresented in quilt shows in the past. Their spirituality had inspired their quilts and quilt shows had been reluctant to feature them. The Sacred Threads exhibit was created to feature these quilts who touch upon both the personal and spiritual levels and is now a national touring exhibit. Museum visitors can glimpse into the spiritual  journey of each of these quilters. The exhibit features a guided tour for each quilt using your phone.
